What’s the alternative to in-person therapy?
Welcome to my virtual office!
It’s my hunch that it’s difficult to think of one area of our lives that the pandemic has not impacted. How we meet for therapy is no exception!
Certain aspects of therapy are certainly lost when not meeting in person, but I do think that there are some gains too!
I can think of two gains. First, you can meet in the comfort of your home and in a quiet space that is yours. Second, the convenience of meeting on a lunch break is also a definite plus for many people!
Maintaining your sexual health is challenging.
Stepping into your sexual health IS stepping into your overall well-being. You are trying to keep your head above water. But instead, you find yourself sorting through the “what now” out of sheer desperation.
Sexuality is who you are; it is not just a behavioral act. Your sexuality is your body, mind, heart, and spirit. The antidote to fear, uncertainty, and isolation is establishing a connection to yourself and others.
Understanding yourself as a sexual being from a perspective of wholeness is a powerful way to tune in to who you are!
We will virtually work together to allow you to overcome disconnection and isolation and connect with everyone, including yourself, in a more profound, more meaningful way.
Sex therapy helps you connect to your inner knowing (listening to your intuition), your yes and no, your tenderness and strength, your wants and needs, and your passions and pleasures. Your body, heart, spirit, and mind are powerful sources of wisdom!
Navigating virtual therapy is easy.
We begin by participating in a free 20-minute phone conversation, seeing if we are a good fit. If we can work together positively and meaningfully, we will establish dates and meeting times for our first session.
Before our session, you will need to fill out some forms and go over the payment information. Then, I will send you an invitation and access the Zoom link for our meetings! During this first session, we will discuss some of the practices and policies I require.
For those clients with Zoom fatigue or who have situations connecting without interruptions by the Internet, I offer phone sessions!
After our first session, we will meet weekly, which allows us to establish a foundation for addressing your concerns and goals. Based on my experience with other clients, meeting weekly helps produce positive results.
If I am doing couples work with you, I ask that you be in the same space for our sessions versus being on a Zoom call in two different locations.
Don’t let conflicts keep you from receiving the therapy your need. Contact me today at (414) 909-1558 or email me at counseling@cheriekatt.com, and get the ball rolling.
